Just 1 mile from the coast, in a few minutes of navigation, on a seabed of 40 meters it stands for about 10, a large granite rock that hosts a rare-sized specimen of Gerardia Savaglia. In fact, the “Black Coral” branch (that's what it's called) it opens like a fan, reaching a height of one and a half metres. A large group of red gorgonians surround him, lobsters, moray eels and croakers.
Due to its characteristics, this dive represents one of the major underwater attractions in the area and one of the most popular dives.

“MEROUVILLE” – “The City of Lavezzi Groupers”
Depth: 24 m – Difficulty: medium/low
–
About 6.5 miles NNE of S. Teresa Gallura, in the Lavezzi marine park.
The scenario is unspeakable, fascinating and unforgettable.
As soon as you dive you find yourself among schools of sea bream, look, and tanuta that accompany you on the descent until you meet dozens of brown groupers of considerable size, they also reach 35 kg in weight, who come to welcome you.
From burrows and crevices in the granite, moray eels peek out much more timidly among the colorful gorgonians, corvinas and weasels. The groupers, who follow you as if to do "the honors of the house" for the entire duration of the dive, constitute the characteristic element of this dive.
In these waters there are also frequent encounters with snappers and amberjacks which materialize in the blue where it is convenient to often look.
