The Costa Smeralda Rally is a rally race that has been held since 1978 on the dirt roads of Gallura and the Costa Smeralda.
The race had a 4-year hiatus from 1994 to 1998, until Carmelo Mereu's Sardinia Greats Events took over the organization of the event. The race is valid for the Rally Terra Trophy and for the TRN 7th zone.
One of the characteristics that distinguishes this race is the exaltation of the territory through sport.
The scheduled sporting event becomes a fixed appointment and the timing of the Costa Smeralda Rally increases attendance in the low season. This results in the involvement of all operators in the tourism sector: hotels, bed and breakfast, restaurants and the different carriers, air and sea.
