All Gallura is characterized by a great variety of flora and fauna. Speaking of animals, the numerous sleeping animals present in the Gallurese hinterland must be distinguished, like wild boar, Commonly called "Porcavru", the fox, La Donnola and Martora, With the birds that go from the sea to the slopes of the only Sardinian mountain range, Gennargentu. Among these, the Sardinian pin must certainly be mentioned, with a typical camouflage, who has no migratory habits, But we also find numerous hawks, Towers and crows.
However, the real master of the territory remains the wild boar, that loved what is hated, it gives damage to local shepherds and farmers, damaging vineyards and crops for example. In addition to these "common" animals, Many other protected are found in the La Maddalena park.
The vegetation is also very luxuriant: cork, lentischi, lecci, blueberries and junipers (from which alcoholic beverages are obtained) and cysts are the most represented specimens.
At the level of shrubs, the Erica is very widespread but it is not uncommon to see even some agrifoglio plant.
Speaking of vegetation, the continuous danger of fire must be mentioned which has its maximums in the summer periods and continues to decim the forests and woods of the Gallura.
